With Jubilee celebrations just done and Olympic madness on the horizon, It’s important you don’t forget Father’s day!

To really make this father’s day special, I know that the Sous chef and I will be busy in the kitchen making a very tasty mess, and I hope that I can encourage the same fun in your house!

You see, summer truffles are in season and are the cheapest of all the truffle varieties – we’re selling them at 69p a gram, compared to white Alba truffle prices in the winter being nearer £6.00 a gram!

So what are you waiting for?  Get some truffles on the barbie!

I was hoping that today I would be able to announce the arrival of white truffles at Mister Truffle HQ, but sadly we are paying for those heady days of warm autumnal air.

The white truffle season is well and truly delayed. The quality is still poor and the prices are really absurd. Speaking to my chef friends, it is clear that this is a problem in kitchens across the land.

We have therefore decided to hold off on the white truffles for another week.

Additionally, we’re seeing a sellers market this season so we are taking a slightly different approach to make sure you can enjoy white truffles over the festive period at a reasonable price.

We will only be doing 2 deliveries this year. One at the beginning of December, and one to arrive for you just before Christmas.

We will have limited supplies, so if you want to enjoy some white truffles this season, please order through the website and we will add you to the order.

If you do want a larger quantity of white truffle (100g plus) and are happy to pay the premium for scarcity, we will of course be able to help you as soon as we have truffles of sufficient quality coming through.
